Audio Bio

The Audio Bio project demonstrated our ability to reflect on our lives and create a story that someone else would care about. Through the creation of my story about working at the beach I had to remind myself of the "so what" which I aimed for the listener to get out of my story.

"Articulate and apply theoretical, rhetorical, and ethical considerations pertinent to writing in public spheres."

I think my work with the audio bio best exemplifies this course objective because I had to take a story that otherwise would only be important to me, and make it something that others could relate to as well. I had to consider the appeals to emotion, as well as the audience that the piece was intended for to convey as message that they would care and learn from.

"Adhere to appropriate citation conventions, fair use, and copyright for primary and secondary sources from a variety of media platforms"

I also learned about the ethics of using music was the licensed under the Creative Commons. I had to find music that was licensed by the creator to be used in my work. I also used this skill when adding pictures to my website. I had to fist find pictures that were licensed under the Creative Commons, and then attribute or cite them properly.
